Christmas Day was no holiday for criminal activity in Fort Bend County, as residents reported four assaults, four burglaries and three stolen vehicles.

Law enforcement officers also referred 14 cases to Texas Child Protective Services officials, according to Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office incident logs for December 25. That usually indicates child abuse or child neglect incidents.

All in all, incident logs indicate, Christmas was a typical day for sheriff's deputies.

Of the four assaults reported, one occurred at 12:21 a.m. at Z Bar, on Crabb River Road near Greatwood. And while details weren't immediately available about any of the logged incidents on Monday morning, at least one person was injured in the bar disturbance.

Another assault was reported at 12:10 a.m. in the 19800 block of U.S. 59 south, near Sugar Land.

A third assault was reported at an apartment complex in the 700 block of Dulles Avenue, at 12:18 p.m.

The fourth assault of Christmas was reported at 8:07 p.m. in the 6500 block of FM 521 near Rosesharon. An hour later, a theft was reported at the same address.

Isn't the Z Bar the place where the local police officers like to hang out? I remember reading a while back that the neighborhood nearby can hear the loud music and mayhem, and residents filed complaints. Local LE ignores the complaints though as they like to hang out there.

Shouldn't that be Rosharon? Although per Wikipedia the original name was "Rose of Sharon Garden Ranch"

I heard some drunk idiot at the Z Bar smashed a

beer bottle across some guy's head. The off

duty cops working there quickly wrestled him

to the ground and had him hauled off to jail.

Christmas Eve...
