A thief forced his or her way into a Richmond woman's home and stole her purse early this morning while she was wrapping Christmas presents.

According to information from the Richmond Police Department, the woman was in the kitchen of her home, in the 2100 block of Dowling Street, wrapping presents at 2:45 a.m.

She told police she noticed her cat "make a sudden move looking at a back window."

The woman went into her bedroom to investigate. She told police she then heard a noise in the kitchen, and came back out to find the back door had been kicked open, and her purse was missing.

Police have no suspect, but are asking that anyone with information about the break-in call the department at 281-342-2849.

Ok, now we have a problem. We have little green furry guys robbing people now. I understand crime is an unfortunate part of life, but now I'm more worried about mean little green furry guys instead of theft.
