Missouri City police investigated a robbery, a home burglary and an assault on Monday.

Officers recovered items stolen in the burglary, which occurred in the 3100 block of Cherry Creek Drive and was reported by two boys who were home sleeping at the time of the robbery (see related story).

The robbery occurred in the 1300 block of Bluestone Drive after a resident returned home from work. A man approached, took the victim's cell phone but then threw it into the street (see related story on home page).

The assault was reported in the 5800 block of State Highway 6, but the alleged perpetrator was gone when police arrived.
