Missouri City police investigated four assaults, and responded to numerous reports of shots being fired and fireworks set off during the holiday weekend.

Two of the assaults were reported Friday, one at 12:10 a.m. Friday in the 1000 block of Whispering Pine Drive; the other at 12:59 p.m. in the 1600 block of Autumn Springs Drive.

An aggravated assault was reported at 8:28 p.m. Saturday in the 1800 block of Indian Wells Drive and still is under investigation.

Another assault was reported Sunday at 7:18 p.m. in the 1900 block of Woodland Hills Drive.
