Sheriff's Deputies Respond To Robbery Attempt, 10 Reported Thefts

Fort Bend County sheriff's deputies responded to a reported robbery and 10 thefts on Monday, and two assaults early Tuesday.

The robbery, which was unsuccessful, occurred Monday morning when two armed men walked into a Valero convenience store and demanded that a clerk open a safe (see related story).

One of the Tuesday assaults was reported at 12:31 a.m. in the 2200 block of South Belmont Drive.

The other was reported at 2:01 a.m. in the 1800 block of Morton League Road.

Four of the theft incidents were reported within 20 minutes of each other. One each occurred in the 24700 block of Crystal Leaf Lane; the 3000 block of South Mason Road; the 26400 block of Marble Falls Boulevard; and the 9400 block of Pearl Creek.
