The Sugar Land Police Department is searching for a man involved in a road rage shooting that occurred at 3 a.m. on Dec. 22.

According to investigators, an altercation involving the occupants of two vehicles ended with the shooting of a 37-year-old man as he exited his vehicle in the 15000 block of Lexington Boulevard to confront several men in a Ford Explorer. The victim was shot with a rifle, but is expected to survive.

The shooter is described as a clean-shaven white male, 18-25 years old, with brown or dirty blond spiked hair. He was in a dark-colored, two-door Ford Explorer, possibly a late 1990s to early 2000 model.
